Clover® POS Equipment Placement Program – Terms Summary
With the Clover® POS Equipment Placement Program, eligible businesses may receive select Clover POS hardware with $0 upfront equipment cost. This can include full countertop systems like the Clover Station.
You only pay the applicable shipping and setup fee.
This program does not include the Clover Kiosk.
The program allows your business to use professional-grade Clover equipment with your merchant processing account without making a large upfront hardware investment.
How the Program Works
One Clover POS device is provided at no upfront equipment cost.
A one-time shipping and setup fee applies:
$99 shipping and setup fee

$35 shipping and setup fee
Applies to:
Clover Flex
Clover Compact
Clover Go
The equipment is provided for use with your supported merchant processing account.
The equipment remains the property of the processor during the program.
If the merchant account is closed, the equipment must be returned.
A return shipping label will be provided for equipment return.
Shipping and setup fees are non-refundable after equipment has been shipped.
An additional monthly hardware placement fee may apply depending on the equipment and program selected. Any applicable monthly fee will be disclosed before the order is submitted.
Equipment Use and Responsibilities
The equipment is intended for commercial business use only.
Devices must be used only with the supported merchant processing account.
The merchant is responsible for:
Safeguarding the equipment from loss, theft, or damage
Normal operating supplies, including receipt paper, accessories, and peripherals
Compliance with PCI-DSS and card network rules
Normal wear and tear is expected and acceptable.
If Service Is Discontinued or Terminated
If the merchant account is closed or terminated for any reason, the Clover POS equipment must be returned.
A prepaid return shipping label will be emailed to the merchant.
Equipment must be returned within ten (10) days of the return label being issued.
All equipment, cables, power cords, and included accessories must be returned.
Equipment must be returned in working condition, allowing for normal wear and tear.
Failure to return the equipment within the required timeframe may result in a replacement fee based on the device model.
Important Notes
The equipment is not sold to the merchant.
Ownership of the equipment does not transfer to the merchant.
Replacement fees vary by device model and may be up to the full retail value of the equipment.
Program availability is subject to approval and eligibility.
Full terms are governed by the Merchant Agreement and Equipment Placement Addendum.
Discounted Equipment and Service Commitment
In some cases, merchants may choose to purchase Clover POS equipment at a discounted upfront price instead of participating in the $0 Equipment Placement Program.
By accepting discounted hardware pricing, the merchant agrees to maintain an active merchant processing account for a mutually agreed-upon service period.
If the merchant account is closed, terminated, or becomes inactive for any reason before the end of the agreed service period, we reserve the right to charge the difference between the discounted price paid and the full retail value of the equipment.
This ensures that the discounted hardware pricing, made possible through the processing relationship, is honored fairly.
