Payment processing rates

The more your business processes, the lower your rates may be.

Businesses processing more than $20,000 per month may qualify for custom wholesale pricing. Smaller and newer businesses can start with simple flat rates and move into custom pricing as their volume grows.

For businesses processing over $20,000 per month

Wholesale pricing built around your actual volume.

Instead of paying one high flat percentage on every card, qualifying businesses can use interchange-plus pricing. You pay the actual wholesale card cost plus Limelight’s fixed markup.

Custom pricing is reviewed before activation. Your estimated effective rate depends on card mix, debit usage, rewards cards, commercial cards, transaction size, and monthly volume.

Clover Direct can work for a business that already knows what it needs and is comfortable handling setup and support through Clover.

Standard flat pricing The same published in-person rate applies across common card types, rather than separating lower-cost debit transactions.
More DIY setup Your business may need to choose the hardware, configure users, and set up the payment workflow without a dedicated advisor.

Look beyond the advertised percentage

Your lowest quoted rate is not always your real processing cost.

Compare the total effective rate after transaction fees, monthly fees, PCI fees, annual fees, statement fees, and other add-ons.
Ask whether debit cards receive a lower rate or are charged the same flat percentage as higher-cost credit cards.
Review the contract length, automatic-renewal language, cancellation fees, and any separate equipment lease.
Confirm whether your pricing can improve as your business processes more each month.

The 2.50% effective rate is an estimate, not a guaranteed rate. Actual effective cost varies based on card mix, transaction size, debit usage, rewards and commercial cards, monthly volume, chargebacks, and applicable interchange, network, regulatory, and account fees. Limelight pricing is subject to merchant approval and final written agreement. “As high as 5%” describes a possible effective cost some merchants may experience after rate increases and added fees; it is not a claim that every reseller charges this amount.
